Key Responsibilities

Forthea is currently seeking an Account Executive to drive new sales revenue in the digital marketing field that will be responsible for:

  • Convert qualified prospects into new clients
  • Prospect and qualify new leads as needed
  • Manage database for prospective targets, including consultants, prospects, current clients, etc.
  • Conduct needs analysis meetings with prospects; produce all presentations for new business pitches, and handle all additional materials that may be needed - reels, computer equipment, agendas, collateral materials, etc.
  • Prepare new business proposals and review with prospect, answering any questions they have; work with agency leadership and production departments to develop, if necessary
  • Continue to follow-up and work to close outstanding opportunities not closed during proposal review meeting
  • Provide post-sale support to the Accounts and Production teams, including making introductions, leading kickoff meetings, handing off requirements and addressing outstanding issues related to the sales, if they arise
  • Periodic meetings with Account Manager to review success status
  • Periodic meetings with Client to review overall progress, strategy, satisfaction and any new needs
  • Stay abreast of all current agency accounts for reference in new business presentations
  • Assist agency leadership with research, and information gathering
  • Research and pursue sales and networking opportunities to grow client base
  • Attend networking and marketing events as well as other seminars, expos, fairs, performances, etc. that present opportunities to promote the company
  • Able to travel locally and out of town occasionally
  • Exceed quarterly and annual sales quotas

Qualifications

 Qualified individuals will possess the following attributes:

  • Minimum Education: Bachelor's Degree from 4-year, accredited college
  • Minimum Experience: 2+ years account executive/sales experience (preferably with an agency)
    • Proven success in developing new business, writing client proposals and managing complex sales cycles from generating leads to closing deals
    • Proven track record of penetrating and expanding large corporate accounts
    • Proven track record of exceeding quotas and goals
    • Experience in selling in a competitive environment
  • Minimum Field-of-Expertise: None required

Director of Accounts

The Director of Accounts is responsible for overseeing the management of client relationships and success across teams. They will lead a team of account managers who manage clients. They will also act as the direct point of contact for various enterprise-level accounts. This role will report directly to the VP of Client Services.   • 3-5+ years of PPC/SEO experience, with ability to create successful “high-level” channel strategies –strong knowledge of multiple digital channels and how they work together (SEM, SEO, CRO, Social, Shopping, Display, etc.)

Digital Marketing Account Lead

  • Day-to-day supervision of client search/online programs including strategic approach, bid recommendations and performance
  • Day-to-day supervision of client web or creative development projects – interfacing with DEDV project manager

  • Collaborate with internal teams and external vendors to ensure seamless execution
  • Ensure analytics tracking (e.g., Google Analytics) is properly implemented and maintained
  • Support new business initiatives or pitches when applicable
 

Day-to-Day Responsibilities

  • Ensure project setup requirements and client access credentials are obtained and documented
  • Review and approve setup and ongoing deliverables before client submission
  • Monitor weekly project time usage and overall account health
  • Create or contribute to internal status updates and account management reviews
  • Assess campaign performance and recommend optimization or growth opportunities

Required

  • 3–5 years of experience in digital or online marketing, preferably within an agency environment
  • Strong background in planning, executing, and optimizing online marketing campaigns
  • Demonstrated success managing client relationships and delivering measurable results
  • Solid understanding of SEO, PPC, and factors influencing search performance
  • Experience using analytics platforms such as Google Analytics
  • Ability to analyze data, identify insights, and make informed strategic decisions
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Highly organized, self-directed, and comfortable working independently in a remote environment

Preferred

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited four-year institution
  • Experience working with CMS platforms and understanding their impact on SEO
  • Comfortable interacting with senior stakeholders and executives
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office or equivalent productivity tools
