Alloy Atlanta

Senior Art Director

(HYBRID/REMOTE/ATL)

About Alloy

Alloy is an integrated marketing agency. We specialize in helping brands across the full funnel, from designing and developing digital solutions and brands that inspire, to creating complete communication offerings and performance marketing campaigns. Our cross-channel solutions help innovative brands engage with their buyers, shape public opinion, build lasting influence, create new categories, and accelerate growth and market share.

Behind it all is a group of nerds, rebels and creatives. We’ve been called a Best Place to Work (10 times and counting, to be exact). And we’re growing this Uncommon Crew.

About the Role

We’re looking for a Senior Art Director who can set vision, inspire teams, and deliver exceptional digital work. Unlike an advertising art director role, this position is rooted in digital design, branding, and interactive experiences. You’ll guide the creative process from strategy through execution, working closely with clients and internal teams to craft design that is strategic, human-centered, and visually striking.

Our ideal candidate is both a leader and a maker — someone who can establish a brand vision, mentor designers, and still sweat the details that make digital experiences unforgettable.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the end-to-end design process: strategy, research, ideation, execution, and delivery
  • Establish a clear brand vision that connects research, business goals, and design excellence
  • Mentor and guide designers, elevating their work and helping them grow
  • Create new design systems and refine existing ones with precision and creativity
  • Translate complex problem spaces into multiple design solutions, making smart product and brand decisions along the way
  • Present confidently to clients and stakeholders, articulating design rationale with clarity
  • Drive the exploration and adoption of AI tools to enhance concepting, design, and efficiency across the team
  • Model collaborative leadership, building strong relationships with team members and clients

Must Haves

  • 6+ years of professional design experience, with at least 2 years in a lead or director-level role
  • A portfolio that demonstrates solving complex digital problems through elegant design
  • Proven ability to lead projects and teams while remaining hands-on
  • Mastery of Figma and Adobe Creative Suite; strong understanding of digital-first brand systems
  • Track record of curiosity and experimentation with AI in design workflows
  • Exceptional communication skills: written, verbal, and visual storytelling
  • Keen eye for typography, layout, and detail
  • Collaborative, optimistic, and ego-free

Nice to Haves

  • Motion design or prototyping experience (After Effects, Blender, Lottie)
  • Experience with Webflow or other no-code tools
  • Deep knowledge of interaction design and device capabilities
  • Illustration skills to elevate brand storytelling and add a distinctive creative edge
  • Ability to invent and evolve processes that make teams more efficient and inspired

Martech & CDP Implementation Specialist

Contract or Full-time

Meaningful connections. Measurable results. Alloy is a marketing and transformation partner for the age of intelligence full of creative thinkers and problem solvers whose results-oriented work extends throughout the Americas, Europe and the Middle East. Reimagination is what Alloy does best, fusing precision with possibility to help companies transform, connect, retain and grow.

The agency solves complex challenges across four strategic areas: brand & experience, comms & PR, platform innovation and marketing orchestration. Since 2012, Alloy has been named a 10-time Best Place to Work, Technology Agency of the Year and more. Behind it all is a crew of nerds, rebels and creatives, but we call ourselves The Uncommon Crew.

As our story continues to unfold, one thing remains the same — different is in our DNA.

About the Role

We are seeking a highly technical, execution-focused Martech & CDP Implementation Specialist to support our client engagements by owning the hands-on configuration, QA, and troubleshooting across multiple martech platforms.

In this role, you will work under the guidance of our VP, Martech, who sets the data architecture, strategy, and standards for client work. Your primary responsibility is to execute—turning requirements into working data flows, integrations, and platform configurations that deliver measurable outcomes for clients.

Contract or Full-Time

We are open to contract, contract-to-hire, or full-time, depending on experience and availability. This role is intentionally hands-on and execution-heavy.

Key Responsibilities

Hands-On CDP & Martech Implementation

  • Serve as the primary implementer for CDP work across client accounts.
  • Configure CDP platforms (Segment, mParticle, RudderStack, etc.) including sources, destinations, transformations, and identity settings.
  • Work within the Martech team to build and maintain tracking plans, schemas and naming conventions based on provided requirements
  • Perform payload debugging, data QA, and issue resolution to ensure reliable data flows.

Marketing Automation & CRM Integrations

  • Connect CDPs to downstream marketing platforms (Customer.io, Iterable, HubSpot, ActiveCampaign, SFMC, etc.).

  • Implement field mappings, event triggers, subscription management, and profile enrichment.

  • Troubleshoot data syncs, inconsistent fields, or missing events across systems.

Analytics, Attribution & Data Operations

  • Ensure clean, consistent event data flows into analytics stacks (BigQuery, GA4, Snowflake, Looker).

  • Support schema alignment and debugging of discrepancies across systems.

  • Build repeatable QA processes and monitoring frameworks for ongoing data reliability.

Client Enablement & Project Support

  • Work closely with account managers and the VP, Martech to understand client requirements and translate them into actionable implementation tasks.

  • Document configurations, data flows, and tracking plans in client-friendly formats.

  • Participate in client calls as the technical expert when needed (not the primary strategist).

  • Provide post-launch support, optimization, and iterative improvements.

What You Bring

  • 6+ years of hands-on experience in Martech, Marketing Ops, CDP implementation, or Growth Engineering — agency experience is a strong plus.

  • Deep practical experience configuring at least one CDP (Segment preferred).

  • Comfortable debugging JS SDK implementations, API payloads, webhook behavior, and identity stitching.

  • Strong understanding of event design, marketing data models, and customer lifecycle data.

  • Experience integrating CDPs with marketing automation platforms and CRMs.

  • Ability to manage multiple client implementations with high attention to detail.

  • Excellent communication skills, especially when explaining technical details to non-technical teammates.

  • Bonus: SQL proficiency and familiarity with ETL/Reverse ETL tools.

How You’ll Work With the VP, Martech

This role works closely with, and reports directly to, our VP, Martech, who:

  • Defines the client data architecture and technical strategy

  • Provides direction, standards, and QA

  • Serves as the point of escalation for complex design decisions

  • Owns client-facing strategic communication

Your focus is on delivery and execution, ensuring that architectural decisions and data strategies are realized accurately and reliably across client implementations.

This division ensures high-quality work and allows the practice to scale.

What Success Looks Like

In your first 90 days, you will have:

  • Successfully executed multiple client CDP integrations and tracking plan implementations.

  • Established yourself as the go-to hands-on expert for data flows, payload debugging, and platform configuration.

  • Delivered high-quality execution under the guidance of the VP, Martech.

  • Helped build a consistent, reliable implementation standard across clients.
